The Garden

In this hand-drawn illustration, I capture the vibrant yet hidden life in an ecosystem. The viewer makes the journey from the airy openness of the sky, down through the tall, swaying grass and into the soil's mysterious depths. The skies are etched with billowing clouds, a testament to the ever-changing nature of life. Just below, the dense grass is lush and abundant, linear forms create a texture that contrasts with the sky’s softness. A tiny bird balances on a reed, curious of the human lying almost lifeless in the grass, as the busy ecosystem hums with life all around them.

Looking beneath the surface of the earth, the dynamic underworld reveals many different creatures who call this place home. This place is beautiful and wild, the observer is taken on a contemplative journey through the serenity and vitality of an underground world.
